New-wave, synth-pop band Dash! release their second single Dressed for Darkness on 4 July.

The track has been likened to Joy Division’s Transmission, opening with a driving bassline and stark relentless rhythm climaxing in a chorus that really packs a punch. Its extremely danceable but also has a haunting intensity. 

The new release comes just three months after their debut single Luas received critical acclaim and radio play in Ireland and the UK. It also made the Hotpress New Irish Music List and The Thin Air’s Irish Tracks of the Week.

Formed in 2023, Dash! quickly became regulars on Dublin’s DIY music scene. Their high-octane live shows, skilful song writing, and catchy lyrics have earned them a growing fan base.

Booked to perform at All Together Now this year, they’ve previously supported The Restarts, T.A Narrative, Molly Vulpyne, Trouble Pilgrims, Dread Messiah, The Gakk and The Deadlians. They also hosted their own monthly gigs throughout 2024 providing a platform for other unsigned bands.

Dressed for Darkness will be released across all streaming platforms on Friday 4 July
