Bcc University Entry Requirements

Defined first-year student: You have graduated from high school or received an GED and have never enrolled in another college or university. Applicants who earned college credits in high school are still first-year applicants. International students who are not U.S. citizens or permanent residents must submit the appropriate first-semester or transfer student application and meet the appropriate admission requirements. Students taught in a language other than English must take the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) exam and achieve a minimum TOEFL score of 500 on the paper-based exam or 61 on the Internet exam. A score of five or more on the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) exam is also acceptable. Once a student has been admitted to Bronx Community College by the University Admissions Processing Center (UAPC), they will be asked to submit financial information and other documents that meet the requirements to issue form I-20. Once the student has received an I-20 form, he/she can request an appointment at a U.S. embassy in their home country to apply for a student visa. Applications for I-20 visas and student visas can be directed to the International Advisor in the Office of the Registrar, Colston Hall [CO] 513, 718.289.5892. Students who fail to achieve the required scores on the SAT, ACT or New York State Regents exams can meet the performance requirements based on CUNY Proficiency Index scores as follows: For point requirements instead of grades, A-level grade A* = 56, A = 48, B = 40, C = 32, D = 24, E = 16.For more details, see the UCAS website: www.ucas.com/ucas/undergraduate/getting-started/entry-requirements/ucas-undergraduate-tariff-points All Applicants must meet the following admission requirements to be admitted to the college: Some programs limit access to applicants who have not yet met certain requirements.
