Excellent legal advice is the norm and our award-winning legal team is made up of highly experienced specialists. At Roche Legal, we also pride ourselves on providing excellent service to our clients. The legal environment in the UK has been dominated by the expansion and mergers of large companies – to the detriment of smaller, more community-oriented businesses. Rachel Roche, winner of the Law Society`s 2018 Unique Practitioner of the Year Award, decided to turn the tide and open a local practice focused on personalized service. With the help of Clio Legal Practice Management software, Rachel has successfully built a modern, organized and efficient law firm that she can operate from anywhere. We`re here to help you navigate the minefield of succession planning and other legal considerations that arise as you age. As her firm has grown to hire more staff and more files, the efficiencies created by Clio have given Rachel time to provide the same attentive service to all her clients in Yorkshire, the UK and internationally. The extra time she spent on her day even gave Rachel the opportunity to publish her first book: What to Do When Someone Dies: A Guide to Your Legal Responsibilities. We want you to choose the right legal experts for you. It`s not always easy to protect your family`s legal interests. We`ve published a selection of free ebooks, guides, and articles to help you get through some of these difficult times.
At Roche Legal, we charge in two ways: fixed fees and hourly fees. What you pay for depends on the type of legal services we provide to you. Many of our services, such as writing a will or continuing power of attorney, are billed on a fixed basis. This means we can give you the exact costs before you start. For legal services such as the administration of a deceased person`s estate or an estate dispute, we charge by the hour. We always give an estimate of the amount of work that may be involved, although these situations are not always predictable. Our team is made up of qualified and experienced lawyers you can trust. We all share the goal of doing quality work in your best interest. After ten successful years as a lawyer, Rachel was offered a partner position in 2011, which brought her to a crossroads in her career. Although tempted, she decided that if she was involved in running a practice, it would be on her own terms. After developing her own ideas on how to run a modern law firm, and after a year of studying and working abroad to expand her skills, Rachel founded Roche Legal, which she runs completely independently. Once we receive the signed customer support letter, your initial payment, and any other information we requested at the first meeting, we`re good to go.
We work proactively for our clients and we think you will find our approach refreshing. We will respond to your calls and correspondence in a timely manner. Designate someone to make decisions on your behalf in case you are unable to make your own decisions in the future. Protect your family`s future and decide what will happen to your children, money, property and property after you die. Our help guides cover dozens of topics related to wills, estates, powers of attorney, trusts, tax planning and more. If you decide to work with us after your discovery call, we will ask for a deposit to secure your next meeting with one of our lawyers. This is non-refundable but will be used for the full cost of the work you request from us. After this meeting, we will ask you for a deposit for all or part of our fees. If we make a flat fee for you, we usually ask you to pay the full amount before you start. If we work with you on an hourly basis, we ask you to make an advance payment and issue monthly invoices.
If this applies to you, please contact you for more information. If we are working on your behalf to administer the estate of a deceased person and expect to receive funds from the estate as part of the administration, we will generally agree to wait for those funds until our bills are paid. We want to make using our services as easy and stress-free as possible. That`s why you`ll find that our fees are always clear, fair and well explained. If a loved one is no longer able to cope on their own, you may need to contact the protection court to help. You can always expect us to treat you with the care and compassion you deserve, no matter what you experience. In her own words, she says: “I chose Clio mainly because it is located in the cloud and therefore accessible from anywhere and securely. I also particularly liked the look of the interface, it is fresh and modern. It integrates with programs I already use, like Dropbox and Xero for accounting. Clio also appears to be continuously working to improve its systems and integrations, unlike some outdated locally hosted systems.
It is important to ensure that we are the right lawyers for you before we formally commit to handle your case. That`s why we offer a call for discovery. During the discovery call, you will have the opportunity to explain your situation and ask us questions about our services. We can then tell you how we can help you. In case we are not made for you, we will do our best to recommend someone who is. Our award-winning law firm is based in York. Clio`s Dropbox integration allows it to easily store, manage, and share documents. “I`ve always lived by the mantra that organization is key, and Clio helps me do that,” says Rachel.
Clio`s intuitive timing allows Rachel to track fall time on her phone, tablet or computer. They can then create invoices in minutes, limiting the time between completion and payment. “Time tracking and the Quick Bill feature are a dream. I`ve noticed an increase in sales just from the time tracking and billing features. We help our clients secure a legacy and ensure a better future for generations to come. She says: “Long gone are the days when I had to lug around a suitcase with files! This means that when I`m on the road and have a last-minute appointment, I don`t have to worry about not having the file with me because all my files are always with me. Rachel has Clio installed on her laptop, iPhone and iPad, allowing her to work from anywhere. Although we are lawyers in York, we work with many clients in Harrogate, Yorkshire and beyond.
