I recently worked at MIG on a proof of concept to build a technology platform in a new area of environmental and social regulation (ESG). ESG is becoming increasingly important as sustainability becomes a growing concern for companies and investors. Asset managers and other financial institutions will have to disclose many more documents in the near future, so this solution aims to help clients keep track of their disclosures and automate an otherwise lengthy process. That`s where our LawTech graduate program comes in. We are looking for creative and ambitious people to drive transformation at the heart of the company. We provide our articling students with the skills to succeed, as well as the support and resources to redefine the role of technology in law. This experience combines learning from a range of experts with applying that learning to real-world projects from day one. They play an important role in our transformation and help us develop our solutions and services from all angles. People are diverse and their interests are different. Having legal knowledge is not essential, much of the work involves advising on new technologies, so an analytical approach that identifies places to advise and develop and an interest in new and emerging technologies would be beneficial.
