The Legal Aid Society of Hawaii has established a pro bono partnership to provide comprehensive, high-quality representation in civil matters free of charge to low-income and underserved individuals throughout the state of Hawaii. The Legal Aid Society of Hawaii is the oldest and largest provider of nonprofit legal services in the state. Each year, Legal Aid supports more than 18,000 clients who otherwise would not be able to afford representation in their civil law matters. Through the pro bono partnership, we aim to increase the number of clients served and improve access to comprehensive civil representation for low- and low-income workers. *The Services are generally free for those who are eligible for LASH Services. For those who earn too much money or have too many assets to receive free legal services, The Affordable Lawyers project offers limited legal services at a flat rate and reduced fees. Range of services offered: Legal advice and advice: individual advice on legal issues, brochures and referrals to appropriate agencies. Postal services: Helping people represent themselves in court proceedings. Limited representation: assisting clients in negotiations and resolving legal issues with the other party.
