I just started a question there, is the 883 Sporty Lerner legal?? Well, before I was bombarded with statements about it, it wouldn`t do me any good because it would jam me in the cheeks of my ass, it`s not for me. NO, just Dinkum, it`s not for me. I said they weren`t legal learners, but one guy argued with me over the weekend, he thinks they are. Can anyone enlighten us on this very important subject? Here is a link to the latest list of bikes for learners in the ACT. Hi guys wondering if anyone knows about LAM approved Harleys in QLD? I`m talking about 883, my mom has one and has a good idea that they`re approved, but I don`t know if anyone has any information about it, please let me know it`s for QLD. Thank you. Can definitely drive an 883 on learners here in Canberra. I have now seen two irons with L plates in the last few weeks here. I stopped and talked to a guy and he just picked it up/had it registered and put on his L plates that morning (just the other day). I`m 70 now and I`ve been on motorcycles most of my life, so I`ve owned a lot of diff types, some fast and slow. I`ve already had new Harleys in Australia, the roads are pretty good, so I had bigger Harleys, just like the feel of this engine under Neath. But now I live on an island in Asia, so the roads are not as beautiful as I try to find a bike with which I first tried a few Didd brand bikes. But then I miss owning another Harley, so I got the 1200 Sporty Inject engine.
Unfortunately, I wasn`t happy because I never managed to get up a gear. So I scaled up a sporty 883 again for the windy roads of the island wasn`t much better. So I did some research to try to stay with a Harley that I read on 500 and 750 Street. As this is a fully newly built bike primarily for city trips, short trips are easy and easy. It looks like the bike in the sequel, because the 750 isn`t as small as the 883 I just sold, and I was tired of changing bikes to fit the Inselbergs and a lot of the corners and turns I made for the 500 Street Harley. Now I still have my Harley, it fits the island perfectly. I switch to front steering on the bike because it gave me more of the Harley feel I was used to from my bigger Harleys. Now I sit right a new headlight better horn loud and a set of howling eagle whistles and air intake.
Life doesn`t get any better than if you still do it at 70. Baz. Thank you all, I knew I could count on your help. I didn`t win anything except the argument that I should have put a lottery ticket on it. I have twins and they will get a permit next month. One wants a pig, the other wants a Hayabusa 650. Apparently, this rocket is apprelegal?????? I don`t know, both have trail bikes at the moment, I`m getting greyer and greyer with them riding in the bush A guy who did his P driving test when I was, burned his clutch on his Harley, half the day, the Instuctor, let him grab a worked Dyna and finish the test with, I couldn`t believe it, he reviewed the regulations for ACT, and all of them are legal except V ROD. All Harleys are legal in ACT, except for the V-Rod, I`m sure. www.rego.act.gov.au/assets/PDFs/Approved%20list%20for%20Learner%20and%20Novice%20Motorcycles.pdf L and P also make the indicated speed limit, even if they are OUT of ACTE, so 110, 100, whatever is displayed. www.tmr.qld.gov.au/~/media/safety/motorcycle-safety/learner-approved-motorcycle-scheme/lam_scheme_list_040510.pdf Harley`s Street 500 is the brand`s entry-level offering with the 494cc Revolution X V-Twin, cruiser styling and a balanced set of brakes and suspensions. Super smooth power with belt end training and focus on low to medium power makes it easy for new pilots to learn the ropes, have room to develop their skills, and provide a solid springboard for their next Harley-Davidson. On Harley`s recommendation, we also powered 91 octane fuel (NO ethanol!), which can really help the portfolio over months and years, especially for young pilots on tight budgets.
91 burns faster than denser, higher-octane fuels, such as some of the traditional premium fuels, so small, low-compression engines generally run more efficiently in terms of power and consumption. Duzzin means YOU wouldn`t be able to apply for approval – but your chances aren`t that good, I guess. For the current Queensland list. Harley is not listed. Overall, I think Harley-Davidson has done a great job staying true to its brand while delivering an entry-level machine that can bring a whole new generation of drivers into the sport, and that`s what it`s all about. Stay tuned, because then we have a Street Rod 750 review! It`s amazing how the rules can change when ACT is in the middle of another state that has completely different regulations. While the powertrain, suspension, fit, and finish all look excellent, it seems HD cuts corners on some finishing touches that would make it a truly exceptional ride. In particular, the omission of the following points is a decisive factor for me: – No tachometer – No fuel gauge – No standard ABS – No full LED lighting – No self-extinguishing turn signals – No TPMS (at least optional) – No hazard lights – No heated handles (at least optional) – No standard luggage rack for an optional top case This decision follows a restructuring of the company by the new boss of Harley, Jochen Zeitz, including the withdrawal from India, where Street models are manufactured. And ps, only for 1 year not for 3, after 6 months they don`t need to display anymore, it`s crazy how it can be so different. Hi Baz, sorry for the late reply here.
Great story! Good choice, the 750 is still very long and sounds like the 500 is perfect and yes, still has your HD. Enjoy your paradise island! The axe also fell in the Touring series, with the Electra Glide and 107 Road King gone. There are a variety of reasons, the first being the incredible follow-up of the brand, it is a name that means cruiser – and all motorcycles in general in many places, and that perpetuates this “rebellious” image in a world increasingly cleansed by political correctness and playing it safe. The specials now come with two-tone paint options and a dark chrome or glossy style. Really, your best bet is to find a custom bike shop that specializes in this sort of thing and has a lot of expertise in the field as this is just very general information. The 494cc V-Twin is a well-polished engine with a torque-filled character at low revs. For cruising, you can switch early to the six-speed gearbox, with power coming from the bottom right, and you really have to do something wrong to tow the engine. Prices for Softail Standard, Fat Bob S, Breakout S and Heritage Classic S remain at last year`s level. The power delivered is super smooth while the engine brake isn`t too aggressive, meaning the Street 500 forgives new riders and jumping on some of the other LAMS test bikes we have at the moment gave me an even greater appreciation of how smooth this machine is in comparison. The Iron 883 now costs $2250 more, the Iron 1200 S costs $200 more and $1000 more for the Forty-Eight.
